This village is situated on the extreme north of the canton of Vaud. An important small part of the lake of Neuchâtel can be admired. The "Grande Cariçaie" (natural reserve) can be seen from here as well.
Along the shore are still remains where the Celts, Gallo-Romans, Burgundies and the Counts of Savoy had lived. All kinds of aquatic sports are possible in Cudrefin.
